Skip Bin Sizes for General Skip Hire

SKIPS has a range of skip bin sizes from2m³ to 8m³ that can be used for the collection and disposal of different types of waste. Here is a short insight into what different-sized bins are often used for:

A 2m³ skip bin is good for small domestic projects like spring cleaning, decluttering, or removing waste from a very small renovation. It is also fine for small amounts of green waste, general household rubbish, and minor construction debris like bricks, tiles and concrete.

A 3m³ skip bin is another compact yet versatile option for smal scale domestic and commercial projects. This size is ideal when your waste needs exceed what can fit in 2m³ skip bin which is about the same as two standard 6 by 4 trailer loads. 3m³ skip bins can be fine for building jobs when you don’t need a full-sized

4m³ skip bins are popular and versatile options for medium-sized household, commercial, and construction jobs that produce more waste than a smaller bin can handle. It is often described as fitting around 16 wheelie bins or four standard car trailer loads of rubbish. 4m³ skip bins are often used for rubbish removal when moving house or for renovating more than a single bathroom.

A 6m³ skip bin is well suited for medium to large waste disposal jobs, making it suitable for a wide variety of domestic, commercial, and construction activities. It can hold the equivalent of approximately 6 standard 6 by 4 box trailers loads, with many models featuring a rear opening ramp for easier loading.

An 8m³ skip bin is a good-sized container, ideal for medium to large domestic and commercial projects. An 8m³ skip bin filled heavy waste would often exceed road traffic authority’s weight load limits so check with us if you have a lot of heavy waste. With the capacity to hold a substantial volume of waste, many 8m³ bins also feature a drop-down door, allowing for easy access for loading bulky materials.
